Accessibility Statement

Our Goal

We want everyone to be able to use mikesrodents.com. That includes people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or zoom.

Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These are the rules most often used to check if a website is accessible.

What We Tested

On October 19, 2026, we tested every page on this site. That means the home page, Live Rats, Live Mice, the Size Guide, For Pet Stores, About, Get Batch Alerts and its thank-you page, Privacy, Terms of Sale, this page, the Guides page, and all 29 guides.

How We Tested

• An automatic checker (axe) on every page, on a phone-size screen and a computer-size screen.
• A second automatic checker (Google Lighthouse) on sample pages.
• Keyboard only. We moved through every page with the Tab key. We opened and closed the menu, the Call or Text buttons, the questions, and the signup form.
• Zoom to 200%, a narrow phone screen (320 pixels wide), and wider text spacing, to make sure nothing gets cut off.
• Color contrast for text, buttons, and the outline that shows where you are on the page.
• Less motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, this site does not animate.

We fixed the problems we found. We test new pages before they go live, and we test the whole site again after big changes.

Known Limits

• There are no videos or audio clips on this site right now, so there is nothing to caption. If we add video, it will have captions.
• Some guides link to other websites, like vet schools and stores. We don't control those sites, and they may not be fully accessible.
• The batch alert signup form and the in-person sale form come from a third-party form tool. Some parts of those forms don't fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA yet: the checkbox borders and focus outlines are hard to see, and required fields aren't marked in a way all screen readers can tell. We're working to fix them. If a form gives you trouble, call or text Mike at (520) 451-4380 and he'll sign you up.
• Automatic tools can't catch everything. You may still find a problem we missed. Please tell us.
